The brief for Northwood School was to create an inspiring environment for the staff, students and local community of this £35m new build secondary school whilst at the same time realising the schools three core elements of specialisation, the performing arts, the remaining learning areas and sports complex.
Doorsets and glazed screens were required to satisfy both the high-performance levels and service conditions of this brand-new teaching facility.
O2. Plan
Integrated Doorsets worked collaboratively with the selected ironmongery partner to support the needs of this design and build facility, negating the risk of incompatible doors and ironmongery that can occur with untested suppliers.
03. Build
Hardwearing and durable woodgrain laminate faced doorsets, ideal for demanding service conditions such as education sector environments, tied in with solid Ash hardwood frames and screens. Fire and acoustic performance doorsets achieving 60 minutes and 35 RwdB with screens achieving up to 47 RwdB ensured fit for purpose environments for teaching and other spaces.
O4. Deliver
Northwood School were delighted with the end result. Learning spaces need to withstand the rigour of constant use whilst looking good and protecting staff and students from risks such as fire. Integrated Doorsets were proud to deliver properly specified, built and installed doorsets for this important environment.
