Integrated Doorsets were invited by Farrans Constructions to support the delivery of this brand new £13.4m super leisure centre and council offices for Rushcliffe Borough Council. The brief was to create a modern new civic and leisure centre featuring council offices, a 6-lane, 25-metre swimming pool, a beach-themed fun pool, a state-of-the-art gym, fitness studios, bowls rink, squash courts, sports hall and café.
Doorsets and ironmongery were required to function in a mix of humid environments and leisure spaces and be robust enough to out-perform the stringent requirements for office and public leisure buildings.
O2. Plan
Working with Farrans Construction and their design professionals, Integrated Doorset approached the project using a wide portfolio of materials and finishes, which required a significant amount of design and technology planning. Our ability to create bespoke solutions suited the mix of robust performance requirements and aesthetic demands.
03. Build
Designer range laminate-faced doorsets were supplied for most areas within the leisure complex, with Plasform WR doorsets being used for poolside and changing areas. Integrated ironmongery was specified to fully comply with our certification parameters, and thereby ensure that the 60-minute fire resistance and up to 35RwdB performances were maintained. Fresh Green and Electric Blue laminate and Hygieniform Shadow PVC facings were applied to the doors in the leisure complex with Smog, and white laminate facings applied to the doors in the council offices.
A mixture of Flushglaze, Duoglaze WR and timber bolection beads were selected for the vision panels and drawing on the extensive range of certification and intellectual property purchased from the former Leaderflush Shapland, the Lamcor and Enduracor products were put to good use in this demanding environment.

The success of a project of this nature, with such a unique set of challenges and mix of environments, robustness and safety requirements, relies on a proven supply chain and skilled technicians and fitters.
