01. Listen
Situated in the North London triangle of Oakwood, Trent Park is a new build housing development which offers a secure and rural way of living, whilst having easy access to central London. Set within 413 acres of parkland, the development comprises of over 250 1 – 3 bedroom apartments and 4 – 5 bedroom houses.
The centrepiece of Trent Park is the historic Grade II listed mansion house, which is being thoughtfully restored to reflect its former glory. As such, all houses and apartments built on the Trent Park site needed to complement this historic landmark.
02. Plan
Working with Pantera, Integrated Doorsets were tasked with manufacturing over 1,000 doorsets for the phases currently in development, with a further two years of construction planned in which more doorsets will be manufactured.
The importance of keeping in tradition with the original Mansion House was key. Therefore, it was essential that the doorsets within the apartments and houses were a mixture of modern and traditional, highlighting the opulence of the past.
03. Build
All doorsets were supplied as pre-hung sets for ease of install. Performance requirements for the front entrance doors of the apartments called for FD30 fire, 32 RwdB acoustic rating, and PAS 24 certified doorsets. A raised and fielded panel effect was installed on these doorsets to complement the desired aesthetic. These unique panels perfectly matched the traditional aspect of the build, whilst not compromising on the performance.
The traditional and heritage design of each apartment and house were reflected inside, with panelled doors matching the lavish interiors, and several internal doorsets were fitted with vision panels for aesthetic purposes.
04. Deliver
“Trent Park is a multiple phase development in which IDSL are providing doorsets for all these phases. With such a large development it is understandably challenging, but the results are extremely rewarding. Integrated Doorsets offer a robust supply chain during these uncertain times, with the ability to manufacture product from start to finish, rather than using third party suppliers.
Coping with the high demand which comes with such a challenging project is essential, and IDSL achieved this with short lead times, presenting various designs, and highlighting any issues within a timely manner. Integrated Doorsets are extremely helpful and easy to approach, I would definitely recommend them to other companies and would happily work with them again.”
Lewis Horwood (Senior Project Manager – Pantera)
It was essential the doorsets complemented the historical site on which the estate was built.
